My students call me "Mrs. K" and you may too! I am the 6th grade math teacher for my school. I have been teaching math for over 10 years and absolutely LOVE teaching this subject! I have spent my entire career working in a large urban school district. I LOVE my job and wouldn't teach any place else. My students are energetic, creative, and intelligent! They love to learn new skills and find great joy in achieving success. Many come from challenging situations and have overcome a great deal to find success in school. I love watching them persevere and find success in math: a subject that many students insist they are not "good at". My goal each day is to provide high quality instruction that is easily accessible to all types of learners and promotes mastery in the topics and skills needed for future years to come. In doing this, I utilize a variety of instructional strategies that lead my students to success!
