Our second-grade classroom is set up in a way that supports differentiated learning with whiteboard tables, comfortable reading nooks, and varies materials to assist in learning. Students are encouraged to work in the area that suits their learning needs best, at times they are with partners or a small team. One area of our room that the students choose to sit is on the floor in front of the Smartboard, where they are closer to the teacher for extra assistance. While in this area the students use clipboards or lap-desks and they often have a hard time getting comfortable so they tend to fidget a lot, this breaks their train of thought and all those sitting near them. The Flex-Space Comfy Floor Seats will help the students keep to a designated spot, have a more comfortable posture for writing and staying focused on the task, ultimately helping to increase their academic achievement.
