Currently, in Bungalow 3, there are twenty-five 3rd grade students. All students vary in a range of different reading levels and interests but they all uniquely help contribute to our distinct learning environment. Even though our classroom is diversified, we all share a common passion-READING! Presently, we are striving to develop an optimum reading environment where students are set up to tap into their best reading lives! Our class is seeking to build up a community of young readers. To advance our growth and interest in reading, it is important obtain more high interest books and materials to help keep students comfortable and engaged. Some of these materials may include chairs, flashlights, reading lamps, or even new high interest reading books that may provide a positive outlet for a student going through a tough time . Additionally, our classroom has formed reading partnerships that allow us to support and grow together as readers. For these partnerships it is essential to have duplicates of books so partners can follow along with each other and continue to share. My goal for each student is to build a life where reading matters. We want students to become life long readers!
