My students are special education Resource Math students. They live in Fort Worth, TX. Most are from low income families. They are 50% African American and 50% Hispanic. I teach 3 grade levels 6th, 7th and 8th grade. They range in age from 11-15 years old. They are a wonderful, funny, creative and a strong group of kids who are trying to understand difficult math concepts. Their math level range from Kinder to 3rd grade and they struggle to understand our middle school curriculum. However, they are inquisitive, determined and hardworking. With the various levels of my student's abilities they need to not only work on our current year's curriculum but we also need to spiral in missing foundation math. This Year my class sizes have grown and I have enough laptops for half my class. I can do stations with the equipment on hand but we cannot all be working independently on a chromebook which is my goal.
