The novels I am requesting for the literature circles will allow my students to make choices about their reading and ultimately their learning in my literature classroom. Your donation will help students become more independent in their learning and allow them to work with small cooperative groups to expand their understanding of the theme of the novel. Having choice in reading materials in the literature classroom creates confidence in students and encourages students to read more outside of the literature classroom. Students will gain deeper engagement with each other and, therefore, have better understanding of the material being presented. Students also work as a cooperative team to discuss the novel and make connections. Your donation will help to create life-long readers.
