Having flexible seating allows students to make their own choice about where they learn best. All students learn differently. While a few of my students prefer to learn sitting at a traditional desk, many of my students prefer sitting anywhere other than their desk. I allow my students to choose a location that allows them to focus on their independent work. However, with limited flexible seating options, right now students sit on counters, under tables, or in random spots around the room on the tile floor. Allowing my students these choices has majorly increased engagement in their work, and has helped to prevent them from disrupting one another's learning. The products I have selected will help my students by providing them additional, more comfortable places to complete their independent work. The Comfy Floor Seats will allow for additional comfortable seating options on the floor for students. The Flex-Space Comfy Chairs will allow for comfortable seating in our classroom library for those students who are not comfortable sitting on the floor, and need an alternative seating option. Wobble Cushions can be used on both the floor, and on traditional chairs for those students who need to get their wiggles out! Allowing my students various seating options has helped them to grow in so many ways! They have developed both academically and creatively, and have even better developed social skills due to flexible seating. My goal is to continue to foster this development, and my hope is that by providing additional options for seating, our classroom community will grow and develop even more!
