With these materials, the entire first grade at our school will be able to use the text to learn all about social studies and a few science topics. Our school isn't provided with a science curriculum. As a team, we have to decide what to teach and make sure that it aligns with our curriculum. Having this material will do just that. Aside form helping us teach the necessary topics, it integrates non-fiction reading into our daily learning, which can be difficult to fit in for these younger kids. As teachers, we want these students to be able to get as much out of their education as possible. Having this resource available to them will make learning that much more enticing.
