Many of my incoming students have had trouble maintaining behaviors in previous classes. Lap-desks and other flexible seating has shown to help curve behaviors by giving students a chance to move around and sit where they are most comfortable. Lap desks allow students to sit around the room where there are not desks or tables and still be able to get work done. Fidget bands on chairs help students release energy without disrupting class and other students. Many of my student will benefit from having these options available for seating in class.
