Each book chosen appeals to a different sport and teamwork setting. Some of these stories are true, and others are based on author's experiences. All of the literature circle books give a positive outlook on how a team can work together through personal, emotional, and physical struggles in everyday life. These books appeal to all students, but especially struggling readers because of their fast paced and easily relatable content. Many of these books have also been recognized for their diversity and acknowledged by various award programs.
