I have been teaching 8th grade English for 15 of my 27 years in the classroom, and I currently plan daily for five classes of students. My students include half free/reduced lunch, many ELL, special needs, and even homeless students. Since 2013, I have incorporated the Common Core curriculum, but this year our district has moved toward a mandatory Engage New York plan. My students prefer reading actual novels and not the online versions on their little chrome books. Please help us get the supplies we need.
