I am blessed to teach an amazing group of students in a diverse community. These Kindergartners love learning, work hard every day and strive for success. I know in my heart I am teaching our future doctors, lawyers, and engineers. My students come from a very transient area with a large population of military and single parent families. Many of my students also come from low-income households, receive free or reduced lunch and have little at home in terms of books, technology, or resources. Though this may impact their home life, I do my best to make sure it does not affect their life at school. I ensure the classroom necessities are provided for all students from the limited financial resources the classroom or I have available. Once this has been accomplished so few funds remain that being self-reliant to purchase other classroom items is difficult which is why your help is so important!
