This project came about when I asked my students what they needed most to be successful in their classroom. My students needed a more comfortable environment to be able to focus on learning. The materials that I am requesting will help us to do just that. My students need to feel that they have a safe and comfortable classroom where they can reach their highest potential without physical distractions of being uncomfortable in a rigid learning environment. The padded swivel chairs will allow my students needed flexibility and movement while working hard on the math standards in the classroom, and make them feel like their voice is being heard. The tables will help pull groups together in a different way and make collaboration easier. The easels are also for my students to have for collaboration instead of wasting poster paper with each project. I want a comfortable and collaborative learning environment for all my students.
