My students are eager to learn and use available technology to complete required research projects, engage in learning games and critical thinking practice online. My class comes from a low socio-economic area and Internet access at home is nonexistent. Common Core State Standards requires a big push in technology because that is the direction our world is heading. My students are not afforded those opportunities outside of our classroom. The families I have are worried about food, basic clothing and a house to live in. They cannot provide the opportunities for their children to succeed in this realm.
