A big part of learning is being able to apply knowledge and learn new ways of doing things through exploration. My students curosity has inspired this project to get them a hands on way to explore what we've learned about throughout the year. As a center my students will be able to go to the light table and experiment with different activities which might include counting, adding, patterning, sorting, rhyming, letter formation, phonemic exploration, writing, and much more. The gental glow of the table will help stretch the attention span of the students and increase their curiosity. This kinestetic way of learning will help my students develop a more indepth understanding of basic math and ELA skills that will be needed throughout the rest of their education.
