My first graders are becoming a class family, but even close families need a little elbow room. We do a lot of work together on the floor, and sometimes the "wiggles" take over. When that happens, it's hard for a first grader to self-regulate his or her personal space. This carpet, which has space designated for each child, will provide support as my students work to learn about personal space during our regular lessons. My students are more engaged in their work and less disruptive to their class family members when they each have personal space. Your donation will provide our class family a rug with individual spots marked for each student. My students and I thank you so much for your help!
