My students range from energetic kindergartners, to fabulous first graders and seasoned second graders! They come from a low socioeconomic background, but come to school excited, energetic and ready to learn. They LOVE science because they can ask many questions about the world around them and get a lot of hands on experiences. Social Studies is a lot of fun for the kids as well because they get to learn about their community and other cultures. They get extremely excited when they learn about Camden, their home, and compare it to other places. This year we have a huge focus on STEM to create an environment with a hands-on way to solve real-world problems. My students also love to read about science and social studies. This year I received a bigger room, which means there is plenty of room for a reading nook, activity center and STEM center!
