I am a 1st grade teacher with 21 students in the great state of Louisiana. They love to read, tell stories, and learn through technology. I have many different ability levels within my classroom. I have reading levels that range from 3rd grade down to pre-primer. I also have 3 autistic students in my classroom. Being able to teach these children with diverse needs is not an easy task. I have children reading chapter books and others still struggling with letters and sounds. Keeping children entertained and learning at the same time is a real challenge. I plan to use today's technology to my advantage. They are eager to learn at this age and love using tablets to do so. There are so many apps available to help on so many different levels. The Samsung Galaxy Tablet is a great tool with amazing opportunities for learning.
