At Academy for Discovery at Lakewood All means ALL students! As a teacher in a school system with over 50% of students receiving free and reduced lunch we work to make sure they have the same instructional tools no matter what their income. We work to explore United States History from Reconstruction forward, but due to our International Baccalaureate we get to study it through themes that highlight inequalities in our system, cause students to recognize consequences of our innovation over time, and help us understand our journey to becoming a world power today. To help my students develop critical thinking skill and apply them to the future we work to provide technology to support research and exploration!
