The requested resources will immediately impact our classroom. The Whitmor bed risers will be used to convert 16 of the student desks to standing desks. This will help with student engagement and promote a healthy active lifestyle. Standing desks have been proven as effective tools to help students maintain their focus. They also allow students more movement and flexibility, especially for students who struggle with attention and hyperactivity. All of the supplies will help the students with their participation, collaboration, and focus. The storage baskets will be used by the students to store their desk materials. Each day at lunch the 16 students who have been at the standing desks will switch with the students who are at the traditional desks. The baskets will help the students remain organized while moving from one desk to another. The stools will be used for students who need to sit during their time at the standing desk. All students will benefit from the risers, baskets, and stools.
