Teaching in a Title I school is a rewarding and heartbreaking experience. Living within 100 miles of two reservations, we have a diverse Native American population. The diversity of the school creates a wonderful learning opportunity for our students. The students I teach come from such different backgrounds, forty-five percent of the schools population qualify for free and reduced lunch. Some of my students go home on Friday and may or may not receive a meal until Monday morning breakfast at school. The students I have are eager to learn and cannot get enough of their limited exposure to technology at school. The support I have from my administrator is abundant when it comes to technology, however funds are limited. Preparing them for their future is so important and resources we have are spread thin, and intermediate grades have priority.
