Hands on group learning is so important in math. When a child is able to touch and minipulate concrete objects it certainly takes their learning to a new level. To do this we need to set up tables and chairs!! My dream is to have stations and groups set up in my classroom so they move around and are able to work with different manipulatives. These chairs would allow us to do this. Learning environments should be fun and encourage the students to want to do more, learn more, explore more! I also believe when students are comfortable they learn better.
