Securing these Chromebooks would be a major step in "Ditching the Digital Divide" within my 4th-grade classroom. The "digital divide" is referred to as the gap between individuals who have constant access to technology and the ones who do not. My students need 6 Acer Chromebooks in order to have daily access to technology during our math rotations. This project would increase the learning potential of 50 students by giving them endless opportunities to engage in various learning activities. These Chromebooks would not only provide my students with the best opportunity to succeed in my classroom, but it would also prepare them to excel in our technology-driven society. As a first year teacher, I want to ensure that I explore every option to provide my students with the best education possible. I currently teach at the elementary school that I attended and I want to provide my students with the same great education that I was given. With 6 Chromebooks in the classroom, students will have more time to work with standards they are struggling with or even explore more challenging standards. These Chromebooks would significantly increase the amount of engagement and provide students with quicker feedback. The possibilities are endless! I know that my students would be so thankful, appreciative, and excited to have these Chromebooks. Please consider helping my students and I "Ditch the Digitial Divide!"
