My students are reading one to two years below grade level and are receiving reading intervention outside of the classroom in addition to guided reading within the classroom. By providing high interest, low readability books for them to read at school and to take home they will be able to build their confidence in reading while enjoying books at the same time. I hope that my students mindset will shift from reading being a task to reading being fun! With titles including Judy Moody, Magic Tree House, and Nate the Great my students are sure to begin developing a love of reading. My students deserve engaging books to read independently as they continue to improve their reading skills in order to become lifelong readers.

About my class
