My students LOVE every chance they get to work on the 5 chrome books that we have in the classroom. With a couple more, they can maximize their independent work time while learning how to collaborate with their peers digitally at the same time. I have 30 fifth graders in my classroom, so it's difficult to get in enough technology time for all students. More chrome books means I have time to work with small groups who require extra support. My students are always engaged when they are working on laptops. During small group centers, students can work independently to enhance their math or reading skills on online programs such as Xtra Math, Zearn, Readworks, or ReadingPlus.
