Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, autistic spectrum disorder, learning disabled, intellectual deficient , and speech-language impaired are just some of the disabilities that affect some of the students I work with in my classroom. I am a speech therapist working in a New York City public school. My students are all so eager to learn and grow yet each have their own style of learning in order to acquire new skills.
