My students will feel empowered by having the freedom to choose their seat and by whom they sit, which will engage and motivate them. It will also help them figure out how best they learn and teach them responsibility. With the exercise ball chairs, tall stools, and foot fidgets, my students will be able to sit, stand, wiggle, and more which will release excess energy, burn calories, increase metabolism, and promote better blood flow to the brain as well as improve core strength and posture. The increase in physical activity can lead to higher academic performance, better health, and positive behavior. The floor recliners and the step stools will add to the seating options so they will be able to find what's most comfortable to them in order to be less distracted from the lessons or activities. Your donation to this project will not only help my students tap deeper into their academic potential and improve their overall health, it will help create a positive learning environment where my students can feel safe, gain confidence, and learn to collaborate constructively. By implementing flexible seating, my students will be able to take control of a piece of their learning and begin the process of becoming engaged and motivated life-long learners. The research I have done on flexible seating includes everything I've listed above and more. Please help me make this a reality in my classroom. Thank you!
