I am a Kindergarten teacher at a Title I elementary school. More than half of my students receive free lunch and breakfast on a daily basis and come from low-income households. Many of the concepts I teach them, they are learning for the very first time. My students are eager to learn and they all learn in different ways. Being so young, my students require engaging ways to learn abstract concepts. To keep education fun in my classroom and to enhance whole-brain learning, I do my best to incorporate visual, auditory, and kinesthetic teaching strategies. My students are very energetic and they thrive when learning through interactive lessons, especially when those lessons incorporate technology. My overall goal is to help cultivate young leaders who grow to be lifelong learners.
