I teach 3rd grade at a wonderful neighborhood school in Lodi, CA. My students come from very diverse backgrounds and living situations. However, when we are together in our classroom we are a family who accept, encourage and appreciate each other. School needs to be a safe place where kids feel happy and inspired. My greatest goal as an educator is to empower my students with an appreciation and curiosity for the amazing world in which we live. I hope that by the time they leave me they have not only mastered the academic standards, but have also realized that they have the power to make the world an even better place.
