We currently have three desktop computers and three laptops (if they are not pulled to be used during testing) in our classroom to service 19 students. My students may be growing up as digital natives, but unfortunately, our classroom is a digital desert. Adding these requested five HP Chromebooks will allow me to create a digital learning center in my classroom. My students will be able to collaborate on group projects, create technology enhanced presentations, type, publish, and share their writing, and even use Google Classroom. Funding my project will make a huge difference in the lives of my students because they need the technological resources needed to explore the IT world beyond gaming. My goal is to boost their confidence with technology applications, and help to close the technology gap that currently exists in our school.
