This project focuses on flexible seating for students. Currently, my students work at a desk and sit in a chair. Alternative or flexible seating within a classroom can bring so many positive benefits to students. Students are free to make a choice of which seating arrangement best suits their learning needs, and students are able to lie down, sit, or stand in order to feel more comfortable while working. By donating, you will be helping foster a more stimulating and engaging learning environment for my kiddos. I know from experience how hard it is to stay seated and focus on something for a long period of time. Flexible seating will help with student engagement by allowing students to feel comfortable. When a child feels comfortable in a setting, their attention is greatly increased and their learning becomes successful. This also allows students to take the beginning step of owning their learning journey. The classroom begins to take on the feeling of "ours" instead of "mine." Students feel at home and relaxed! Let's help my kiddos become 21st Century learners and achieve the success we know they are capable of achieving. Please help us get stools, cushions, and balancing balls to use as alternative seating.
