The headphones will enable my students to concentrate on the math concepts they are working on in math. Currently the students hear everyone else's direction which causes the students to lose focus on their current concept. The headphones would stop the confusion of the directions that other students hear during them using the computer program. Some students need to hear the directions and read them at the same time to assist them in learning the concepts they are working on in math. The hearing of the directions also assists my ELL students in learning the English terms and the correct pronunciation of key math terms. The calculators are needed to assist the students in practicing the concepts from the computer program with 21st Century and everyday questions. These type of math questions that deal with real life example help to reinforce the students ability to obtain the concept for future use in their math education.
