Many of our students do not have the personal resources to purchase an exercise mat, blocks, or yoga straps to try a yoga class. Up until now, I have used my own personal funds to buy 8 mats, 6 blocks, and 2 straps. However, this just isn't enough to provide for all the students interested in trying my classes. This project will allow me to provide PHS students the ability to participate in after school yoga and wellness classes that teach important stress relief and mindfulness techniques! Learning yoga and mindfulness is an important skill that students can learn and use throughout a lifetime to handle stress, increase flexibility, boost immunity, and learn to handle the pressures of life in a positive manner. As we all are aware, the COVID-19 pandemic has only added increased levels of anxiety and stress in our students and faculty. Help me spread a positive wellness to PHS students and staff as they return for the 2020/2021 school year!
