First graders in our building are very excited about learning more of what interests them. Our building is Pre-k through grade 1. We have opportunities for our students to access some technology in our building. Our district is in the process of going digital. Our upper grades have access to laptops, but not yet available for our students. We instill positive character in our building, which is why we are the Jr. Panthers! Jr. Panthers work together in groups daily. We also have partner/buddy reading and math activities between grade levels and other first grade classrooms. Our students love the world of technology. Some have shared stories about why they love to listen to Pete the Cat on their computer, or how their tablet has taught them rhyming words. It's interactive and at their fingertips...just what they love!
