Young learners need more hands-on learning. They need to touch, move, and manipulate. The magnetic letters and whiteboards will allow students to practice letter and sound recognition, making words, and letter substitution and deletion. We will use these boards and letters during our daily small group word work practice time. The alphabet letter stamps are another great tool for more hands on learning. The stamps will be used for students to practice the same skills on their own during our reading centers time. Finally, the dry erase pockets will allow students write down their learning after manipulating the letters and stamps.
