I have been teaching Kindergarten for 5 years and love this age group of children. I have seen the need for children this age to learn the needed social skills that will help them as they progress through their lives. Many children are facing difficult situations in their lives and are not equipped with knowing how to understand their emotions or how to self-regulate. I have focused much of my teaching on helping students to find ways that they can self-regulate and be in a better mindset to be able to learn. When they feel safe and in control of their emotions, they can focus on learning and growing relationships with their peers.

About my class
