I have done as much as I possibly can to incorporate flexible (or alternative) seating into my classroom and now I need your help. Flexible seating means that when students are working, they have the freedom to find comfortable spaces around the room that allow them to work to their fullest potential. They might be kneeling, standing, sitting, working with a clipboard on the floor or beanbag, sitting at a desk with an exercise ball or wobble stool. There are many possibilities of what this can look like in a classroom. We need your help to obtain more seating options for such as: ball chairs, wiggle stools, and lap tables. Research shows that students that are able to focus do their best work when they are comfortable. In my classroom, students are no longer tied down to table spots and regular height chairs, although these are still available for those who find them to be their 'Smart Seat'. Please join us in helping make our classroom a successful learning space for every child! Thank you so much for your support. The kids and I are so excited about this project and creating a classroom full of 'Smart Seats'!
