Flexible seating allows students to take charge of their learning in a space that is conducive to their learning style. By not being confined to the traditional desk and chair, students are able to change their position and location within the classroom as needed. When students are unable to move about within the classroom, they become distracted and in many cases, become disruptive. Flexible seating allows students the ability to work with others in a collaborative environment, allows for sensory input, and allows students to bounce, lean, twist, fidget, and wobble to suit their needs while being comfortable. The balance balls and wobble chairs will allow my students who need movement the ability move while remaining engaged in instruction.
