Students in my classroom come from all over the district to engage in a learning environment that challenges them to use a problem solving model in an integrated project based learning environment. With a problem in mind, students begin to take apart the problem by exploring, modeling, explaining, and evaluating until they reach a solution. My students are creative, but also analytical. They are avid readers but also engineers. They are asked everyday to work in partners or small groups to produce work that integrates science, technology, engineering, art, and math while also becoming strong readers and historians. In my classroom we focus on our strengths to build upon others challenges.
