The items will help my students increase their comprehension, reading, and writing skills. Having these materials in our classroom will definitely be a benefit and help us grow from good readers/writers to great readers/writers. The materials/workbooks will also, encourage us to have confidence in our writing skills and reading skills. Teaching in a predominantly African American school, I chose these specific books so that my students can see themselves in literature and they can easily identify and compare their lives to the stories. I know these materials will be a huge success in my classroom.
