My goal is for my students to learn math concepts through hands-on learning. I want them to feel confident with math skills and grow to be strong mathematicians! There are so many careers involving math. I want my students to get an early start on building these essential skills. My students will use math manipulatives such as square tiles, fractions bars and place value strips to make abstract concepts more concrete. With the Area & Perimeter Hands-On Teaching Kit, Fractions & Decimals Hands-On Teaching Kit, and Place Value Hands-On Teaching Kit, the students will be able to visualize concepts involving fractions, area, perimeter and place value. Students will also work with a partner and in small groups to practice these skills and play games like dominoes that boost number sense. Having a variety of math manipulatives and activities will allow students to develop essential math concepts for future success!
