We could practice geometry and algebra with work sheets or task cards, but it would be more fun with an escape room! An escape room gives students an opportunity to not only practice their math skills, but also creates opportunities for problem solving and team building. I want to bring an escape room to our classroom! We live in a rural and impoverished area with limited chances to travel to larger cities with actual escape rooms. I want to give my students an opportunity to collaborate and apply critical thinking skills as they unlock how much fun math can be! Students will follow a set of clues to open up a locked box with a prize inside. Each clue will involve teamwork and math!
