We are transforming our library from a place where teachers simply bring kids to check out books, to a place where teachers bring kids for inspiration, engagement, and collaboration. Flexible seating is essential for student engagement, and we need to be able to offer this type of a learning environment in our library as well as our classrooms. By donating to this project you will be honoring students needs for flexible spaces to be engaged in learning and collaboration. Research shows that some benefits of flexible seating include a better oxygen flow to the brain, increased motivation and engagement, and helping to develop stronger core muscles and better posture in students. Our students deserve a classroom environment that is open to small group work and collaboration, independent focus, creativity, and critical thinking.
