Our floor presently is bare with simple sit spots on them. It would be much more fun to sit on a carpet full of colorful musical symbols including a huge staff in the middle. We could stand on the staff, or toss bean bags onto the lines and spaces and then have fun naming the notes! The carpet will serve as fun sit spots, or parallel lines for longways sets, which will help with our singing games and movement activities. The carpet squares provides opportunities for us to know our boundaries and to stay in our own spaces and respect the space of our peers. Please help make our classroom more colorful by having colorful musical visuals not just on our walls but on our floors as well.
