Thank you very much to all of the generous Donors who took the time to support our classroom project Calling All Picassos!

This project gave my students the opportunity to use their imagination and creativity! One of my students favorite project was the bird house building and design! After each child followed directions they painted their house like Picasso, we hung them in the trees outside the school and observed the birds! The children also enjoyed making the suncatchers and windchimes!

  • Teaching and Celebrating Diversity Through Art and Design

    Funded Apr 28, 2025

Thank you so much for your generous donations to my classes Donors Choose project!

This project has given my students many opportunities to learn about diversity through art and design.

One of my students favorite things that was included in this project was the snap bead kit. The children made friendship bracelets and also learned about patterns by making colored bead patterns. The children also enjoyed the multicultural food that they pretend with in our dramatic play area. Many of the children felt right at home pretending with food from their culture.

In addition the children enjoyed the children around the world memory game and the mix and match family magnetic blocks.

Teaching diversity and acceptance through play is so important for children at a young age. Thank you for your thoughtful donations to our project to make this possible!

Best, Mrs. Goding and he awesome Pre-K friends”

  • Full STEaM Ahead...PRE-K Learns Through Play!

    Funded Oct 4, 2023

I would like to give a huge heartwarming thank you for your generous donations to our classroom project. ❤️

When the children entered the classroom and saw the new science, engineering and math centers, their eyes lit up. Each child ran to a station and fully engaged in the new learning activities. You could see the happiness on their faces as they played and hear the excitement in the room as they socialized with their peers

Your kindness gave my class the opportunity to learn through play! Thank you for putting a smile on their faces and for supporting their learning ❤️”

  • Hip Hip HURRAY...Help My Pre-K Learn Through Play!

    Funded Jul 6, 2022

My goal for this project was to create an engaging, hands-on multisensory learning environment, where all of my students would develop new skills through play.

As I opened the packages of new manipulatives and learning tools, the students eyes lit up with excitement. All of our little engineers began to build with the planks and gears. They explored the bugs and bird skeletons with the magnifying glasses and microscopes. The classroom energy, happiness and interest in learning was high! Our little mathematicians created patterns with the nuts and bolts and worked with a partner to sorted bugs into different categories. Thank you for your kind and generous donation! These learning opportunities would not have occurred with out caring supporters like you!”

  • SAFETY FIRST with separate SEAT SACKS and SUPPLIES!

    Funded Sep 20, 2020

Thank you very much for your kind donations. With your generous donations the students in our class are able to work in a safer environment.

All students now work in their own workstation with limited physical contact with peers. This helps prevent the transfer of unwanted germs.

The children really enjoy having their own pencil bags with their supplies! With the easy access seat sacks right on the back of their chairs, they can access all their own books, math supplies and folders!

Again, thank you very much for your kindness and generosity! We all appreciate your help keeping us safe and able to learn!”

    With gratitude,

  • No STUDENTS on the SIDELINES!!

    Funded Apr 26, 2017

The "No Students on the Sidelines" project has made a tremendous impact on our students physical, social and emotional development. Instead of our children watching other children play, they are fully engaged in play and conversation with their peers. All of the students faces lit up when they saw the soccer nets, balls and play tunnel. Our children in wheelchairs were super excited to use the bowling ramp and basketball net. They were placed at eye level and every student was shooting the ball and getting slam dunks!! They were laughing together and rooting for each other as they rolled the bowling ball down the ramp to get a strike. High fives were everywhere. This project was truly a gift and you made it happen!! Thank you very much for your support, huge hearts and kindness you brought to our students:)”

  • School+Family Engagement= STUDENT SUCCESS

    Funded Apr 7, 2017

This project has made a huge impact on parent involvement in our classroom. Parents have joined us as a mystery reader and shared several stories with our class. One parent came in and shared a story about the life cycle of a butterfly. The children were very engaged with the caterpillar and butterfly puppets. Upon completion of the book, the children made caterpillars with fruit loops and pipe cleaners. Parents also helped while the children created a symmetrical butterfly from a coffee filter and markers. We are now watching real caterpillars as they go through metamorphosis!! In addition, the children have utilized the family engagement packets during morning work time and have taken them home to play with their families. This project has been amazing and will continue to give our students and families a way to engage and learn together. Thank you for your support!!”
