I want to incorporate music centers into my classroom. Music centers are a great way for students to learn music fundamentals (rhythm, pitch, listening, etc.) at their own pace. These iPads will be used in so many ways such as music learning apps, listening centers and composition. Some apps that my students will use is Musical Me, My Note Games, Classical Genius and Rhythm Repeat. They can also make videos of themselves singing or playing a song we are learning or take pictures of their written work. To communicate to my students’ families what they are learning about, students will create an online portfolio using an app called Seesaw. Parents and family members will be able to see pictures and videos of their work. All of their work throughout the year will be saved, so at the end of the school year they can look back and remember what we learned about in music.
