Recently, our class received a new Promethean Board. The Board has many wonderful features that my English Language Learners would benefit from. Unfortunately, our laptop is old, and does not support the software that the Promethean Board requires. As a result, many of the key features do not work. With a new laptop, we will be able to use the interactive tools that the Promethean Board offers. There are an enormous amount of educational apps for students to practice pre-readiness skills as well as vocabulary and language acquisition. There are also many apps aimed at helping special needs and English language learners to work on their vocabulary/communication skills. Building language acquisition is an important skill that they must work on daily.
