Every day students in our school work on reading for 90 minutes. Students work independently at centers, meet in small groups with their teacher, read independently, and write during this time. Many of my students do not have books or supports at home, so our reading block is an important part of our day. My students are excited about reading and these items will provide quality materials to practice their comprehension skills. Students will be able to comfortably fit around the large group table to collaborate and discuss the books they are reading. The reading games and passages will be used to practice reading skills during their independent work time.
