I teach first grade at a suburban school in the West San Fernando Valley. I have mixed ability children in my classroom, including gifted students, students with identified learning disabilities, and English Language Learners. I need to provide on an ongoing basis differentiated instruction as well as remediation. A document reader will help to provide support to all students in my classroom. It will allow students to share their work with others in the classroom, as well as for me to show examples for a better understanding of the subject matter. This technology will also aide my class in becoming 21st century learners.
