I am seeking funding for wobble chairs and wiggle cushions. We have worked hard at our school to add movement into our day. But I notice that even with our movement breaks, 2nd grade students still need to move their bodies. I observe when students sit in regular chairs they want to tip forward and backward. The wobble chairs and wiggle cushions will provide a safe way for students to move and learn at the same time. My students have a desire to learn and using flexible seating in the classroom allows students to reach their potential as a learner. Allowing students to move while they learn can increase their engagement level during the school day. Using flexible seating in the classroom will allow students to take an active part in improving our classroom community.
