Ukulele has become a very popular musical instrument for students to learn music fundamentals, but currently my school does not have any to use. Being an enthusiastic ukulele student myself, I want to give my students the opportunity to experience the joy of playing one of the happiest instruments around. In addition, I am requesting a tubano for percussion ensembles. These instruments will be used in classroom and school-wide performances. Instruments increase engagement in the music classroom and my students are enthusiastic about trying new things. My students will have an opportunity to experience collaborative ensemble performance as well as gain opportunities for individual musical expression.
